A journal of the voyage of the ship Mary of Nantucket, commanded by Capt. John G. Brock, to the North and South Pacific Ocean in pursuit of sperm whales. The journal records winds, weather, courses, and whales sighted and killed on the voyage from Nantucket Island to the Pacific Ocean, between Sept. 9, 1856 and March 30, 1860. Includes account of amounts of whale oil produced and a list of ships encountered.
